+This has been a tough year with everything thats going on here in Brazil, but still we managed to get work done. There were a few ideas we started in the beginning of the year that were abandoned, until we found the right one to continue.

+We started a top-down stealth game based on the [Max Raider](/games/max-raider) character system, but I ended up spending months working on the game systems and almost nothing on the game. Then we started working on a new version of [ZeroSpace](https://kairoscope.itch.io/zerospace) using [Ink](https://www.inklestudios.com/ink/), so we could focus on the story. The idea required a lot of work and the game didn't go very far.

+Next I started working on a Grid Building system, based on [Code Monkey's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waEsGu--9P8&list=PLzDRvYVwl53uhO8yhqxcyjDImRjO9W722) excellent tutorial. Then I added a bunch of features of our own like connectors and created grid lines to show the game board.

+Ben had the idea for a space puzzle game where you push asteroids around into machines to gather resources based on the little builder prototype.

He made a lot of little games that where never completed, we participated in game jams and tried to make some partnerships. It was way to big in scope for us to handle at that time. Later we worked on a RTS called **BattleScape**. The game had serious issues with its multiplayer system (it always lost sync) and again scope was a problem. +The Max Raider project almost lost scope like the ones before. But I was able to get a grip on things and simply cut 3/4 of all the features that had creped in. The game was suposted to be an open world RPG and instead I decided to make an arena game and finish the game in a short time. The combat mechanic was the main selling point, it was working ok and it was fun. With these changes, the game is now almost ready and soon I'll post the release date.
